Dayton’s skyline may be a little on the diminutive side, but when you reach the top floor of Performance Place, the elegant atmosphere of its penthouse will evoke a big city feeling. With beautifully appointed rooms washed in blonde wood and matte black, and sporting spectacular views, Patty Lavy’s just-finished condominium is the perfect setting for a stylish night of fun.

Prepare for an evening of enjoyable company, interesting
conversation, tasty libations and a bountiful spread of classic party fare amid gracious environs. Enjoy sweeping balcony views of twinkling lights and smooth jazz sounds, and find out what a pleasurable place the very center of downtown can be.

At the party, you will have the opportunity to view a selection of paintings by Betsie Molinsky and to meet the artist. Betsie’s canvases, depicting figures and flowers, are a symphony of color, carefully arranged to create a harmonious whole. Gracefully composed and classically lovely, these paintings are a perfect match for the sophisticated city ambiance.

Join us for the second city-centered Artist Palate party in a row! This one is more casual in style, taking advantage of one of Dayton’s best party spaces, on a rooftop facing Fifth Third Field.

Hosts Ann Roberts and John Smith will host a say-goodbye-to-summer gathering, giving us a good reason to spend some time outdoors before colder weather sets in. Always up to date on culinary trends and wine offerings, our hosts will sate us with a wonderful dinner and delicious liquid refreshments.

The beautifully redone mixed-use building in which they live is historic and modern all at once, much like Stivers School for the Arts, where our two featured artists inspire young minds. Complementing the Firefly Building’s unique character, you’ll find the work of Julie Anderson and Lizabeth Whipps, two artists who paint still life gems that focus on slightly odd but meaningful objects. Whether of matchsticks or cicadas,
wishbones or stacked rocks, their gorgeous little paintings capture a quirky urban sensibility.
